Running faster than the wind

A recent article in Wired is mindblowing for anyone interested in science and technology.

It took me half an hour of hard thinking to grasp the concepts and the science: yes, it is indeed possible to go FASTER than the wind in a windpowered vehicle.
Not by tacking, but by running before the wind.
Not only is it theory, but it is proven by building a full sized car. Which ran in a trial 3 times a s fast as the wind. Read the story and see the video.
